When are materials available?
Registration materials will be available January 5, 2010 for the 2010-11 school year. Registration Packets must be completed and turned into the school office by February 8, 2010 to be considered for the lottery. Office will NOT accept incomplete registration packets (this includes the signed Parish Verification Form). After February 9th, registrations are accepted. Placement on the Waiting List is at the end of each list for each grade if one exists.
How am I chosen?
The lottery system for new registrations will be used for the 2010-11 school year. Lottery Considerations:
1. St. Mary’s Parishioners will be considered first
2. Other Registered Catholics will then be considered second
3. Non-Registered Catholics will then be considered third
4. Non-Catholics will be considered last
How will I be notified?The parents will be notified by February 12, 2010 if their child was accepted or placed on the waiting list.
What other documents do I need besides the registration form?
The attached Registration Form must be completed and brought to the office with the following documents:
1. Registration Application Form: One form is required for each student applying. Please note: Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1st of the year they are enrolled in Kindergarten. First graders must be six years old by September 1st of the year they are enrolled in First grade.
2. Birth certificate: Original certified document required for each applicant (will be returned) and a copy of the child’s certified document.
3. Immunization Record: Original copy of Child’s official immunization record (will be returned) and a copy of the child’s official immunization record.
4. Sacrament Certificates: Copy of Baptismal, First Communion, and Confirmation, as applicable for each applicant.
5. Parish Verification Letter: Signed parish verification form from your home parish.
6. Custody papers: A copy of custody papers if it applies.
Are there any registration fees?
1. Application Fee: The application fee is $75.00 (non-refundable nor applicable towards tuition) per applicant.
2. Registration Fee: The registration fee of $125.00 per child is refunded after September 1, 2010 if space is not available for the student. If at any time you wish to be removed from the Waiting List, contact the school office. We will remove the child’s name from the Waiting List and return your $125.00
ALL FEES MUST BE MADE WITH SEPARATE CHECKS.
Are any of the fees refundable?
Registration Fee if you are offered a space and you refuse the space, Registration Fee of $125.00 will not be refunded.
Registration Fee ($125.00) is refundable only if we DO NOT accept your child by September 1st. If a parent refuses space when it becomes available – Registration Fee ($125.00 is NON-REFUNDABLE).
Are transcripts required?
For grades 1 through 8 – Letter of Recommendation from previous principal will be reviewed before acceptance is finalized. How is placement determined?
PROCEDURES THAT WILL BE FOLLOWED TO DETERMINE PLACEMENT:
1. Registration form and documents will be examined for completeness.
2. St. Mary’s Parishioners with a signed Parish Verification Form will be given priority over all other applicants.
3. The lottery will be done by grade level starting with Kindergarten.
4. After the openings are filled; we will continue drawing and place the other applicants on a Waiting List.
5. The $75.00 Non-Refundable Application Fee is required to be on the Waiting List. (NSF Checks cancel registration.) You will be notified the week of the drawing as to the placement of your child for further processing.
